Why you should be using a facial mist

Facial mists can be a little bit of a mystery, can you use it over make up? Should you use it in the morning? The evening?

Truth is, you can use a face mist anytime! But there is more to it.

When To Use Face Mist

The whole idea behind face mists is to give your skin an instant and big boost of hydration. But, that’s not all a face mist offers,  turns out they’re not only about adding extra moisture. Using face mists at certain times can actually give you additional benefits that you may never even heard about.

In The Morning
Sometimes it’s hard to get out of your warm bed in the morning. This is where your face mist comes in. The refreshing mist will wake you right up giving you an instant boost of energy, and leaving your skin soft and glowing. Just leave it next to your bed and spritz to rise and shine.

After Your Toner
Not everyone uses a toner, but if do it’s best to spritz your skin after. That’s because toners cleanse and prep your skin for your moisturizer. Meaning your skin will reap all the rewards of your moisturiser and it can really penetrate the skin.

Before & After Makeup
Face mist can give you a more flawless makeup application. Here’s how; it creates a smooth and hydrated canvas for your foundation. Secondly, it helps foundation blend better, which means a more natural look. Last and certainly not least, giving your face a quick spritz after applying makeup can help set your look (making it last longer) and create a more a seamless finish (by getting rid of any powder residue).

Before Bed
If you’re going to hydrate your skin before bed (which you should do!), why not pick a product that also doubles and helps you relax too? Why not create your own facial mist with the calming scent of lavender, it gives skin a boost of hydration while it helps you zen out. Just make sure to apply it about 20 minutes before bed, so it has time to absorb into your skin and not rub off on your pillow.
